Customisation is an extension of our craft — a chance to make something that exists nowhere else in the world, made specifically for you.
◈
Customisation is available on prepaid online orders only — Cash on Delivery orders are not eligible.
At The Unkommon Brand, customisation is not an afterthought. It is an extension of our craft — a chance to make something that exists nowhere else in the world, made specifically for you or the person you are gifting it to. But because every customised piece is touched by real hands, shaped with real time, and made with genuine intention, there are a few terms we ask you to understand before we begin.
Before We Begin
Online Orders Only
Important Notice
Customisation is available exclusively on prepaid online orders. We do not accept customisation requests on Cash on Delivery (COD) orders. This is not a restriction — it is a commitment. When we begin a custom piece, we have already invested materials, time, and artisan skill into your order. Prepayment ensures that both sides are equally committed to what we are creating together.
✦ No exceptions will be made to this policy.
The Process
How It Works — Step by Step
01
Place & Pay
Place your order online and complete payment. Share your customisation request — colour preference, design detail, size, or finish — via the notes section at checkout, or directly with us on WhatsApp or email after payment confirmation.
02
We Confirm
Our team reviews your request and confirms whether it is achievable within the design and material constraints of the piece. We will also notify you at this stage if any price adjustment is expected.
03
Price Revision, If Any
Certain customisations — extra embellishments, specific colour sourcing, or added design complexity — may result in a slight variation in the final price. You will always be informed before we proceed. We never charge extra without your explicit approval.
04
We Make Your Piece
Our artisans get to work. This takes time — and we ask for your patience, because rushed hands don't make beautiful things.
05
You Approve Before We Ship
Once your piece is ready, we share photographs or a short video of the finished product with you for review. Your satisfaction is the only green light we need. If you are happy, we proceed to shipping.
06
Standard Shipping Begins
From the moment you approve, our standard shipping policy applies — timelines, tracking, and delivery terms remain the same as all other orders.
Plan Ahead
Festive & Wedding Season Delays
Customised orders during high-demand periods may take considerably longer than usual. Our artisans handle every piece by hand, and volume during these seasons naturally extends production timelines.
We will always give you an honest estimated timeline when you place your order. We strongly recommend placing customisation requests at least 3–4 weeks in advance during festive and wedding seasons.

Frequently Asked Questions
Most of our pieces are open to colour customisation. Design-level changes depend on the product type and craft involved. Reach out to us before ordering if you are unsure — we will tell you honestly what is possible.
After completing your payment, reach us via WhatsApp or email with your order number and specific requirements. Reference images, preferred colours, or occasion context are always helpful.
We share the finished piece with you before shipping for exactly this reason. If something is genuinely off from what was agreed, we will work to resolve it. Please note that handmade pieces carry natural variations in texture, finish, and colour — these are features of craft, not flaws.
Only if your customisation requires additional materials or significantly more work. Any such change will be communicated clearly and in advance. We proceed only with your explicit approval.
Standard customised orders typically take 4–5 business days depending on complexity. During festive or wedding seasons, this can extend to 3–4 weeks or more. We strongly recommend planning ahead during peak periods.
Once production has begun on a customised piece, cancellation is not possible. If the order has not entered production yet, please contact us immediately and we will do our best to accommodate.
No. Customised orders require prepaid online payment without exception. This policy applies to all customisation requests regardless of order size or value.
We work as close to your reference as our materials and craft allow. Handmade pieces will always carry a slight individual character — that is the nature of the work. We will always show you the result before shipping so there are no surprises.
Customisation at The Unkommon Brand is not a service — it is a conversation between you and the artisan's hands. We take it seriously. We take your piece seriously. And we will not ship it until you are ready to wear it.
