How It Works
Raising a Claim — Step by Step

Record Before You Open
The moment your parcel arrives, please record a short unboxing video — from opening the outer packaging all the way through to revealing the product. This is the single most important step. Courier partners require video proof to accept any transit damage claim, and without it, we are unfortunately unable to raise a claim on your behalf. We’d hate to leave you without a resolution — this one step protects you completely.

Reach Out Within 2 Days
Contact us at hello@unkommon.in or WhatsApp us within 2 days of delivery with your order ID, unboxing video, and clear photos of the issue. We understand this feels quick — but courier partners do not accept damage claims raised after this window, and we want to be able to fight your case for you.

We Review Within 48 Hours
Once we receive your claim, our team will review it within 48 hours and confirm next steps. We will arrange a free reverse pickup from your doorstep. If pickup service is not available at your pin code, we will guide you through the next steps personally.

Replacement or Full Refund
After receiving and inspecting the returned product, we will dispatch your replacement within 7–8 business days. If the same product is not available, a full refund will be credited to your original payment method within 7 business days.

COD Orders — Refunds
For Cash on Delivery orders, refunds will be processed as a bank transfer to your provided account details within 7 business days of the approved claim.

Customised Orders
Our Promise to You
Every customised piece is made exclusively for you — crafted only after your confirmation and personalised in a way that cannot be recreated for anyone else. Because of this, customised orders cannot be returned or exchanged for change of mind.
However, if your customised order arrives damaged or defective, that is not your fault — and we will absolutely make it right. The same return and replacement process applies in full: reach out within 2 days of delivery with your unboxing video and photos, and we promise to take care of you. Your piece was made with love, and we take that responsibility deeply seriously.
Changed Your Mind?
Order Cancellations
Cancellation Window
Orders can be cancelled within 12 hours of placing them, provided they have not yet been dispatched. Write to us at hello@unkommon.in with your order ID and we will take care of it. Once an order has been dispatched, cancellations cannot be accepted.
For prepaid orders, the full refund will be processed within 5–7 business days of the cancellation confirmation.
A Note on Handcrafted Products
Each piece from The Unkommon Brand is handmade by skilled artisans. Slight variations in colour, texture, or finish are a natural part of the handcrafting process — they are what make your piece truly one of a kind. These are not defects. They are the mark of a human hand, and the soul of what we do.
During festive seasons and peak sale periods, dispatch and delivery may take a little longer than usual. Our courier partners experience significantly higher volumes during these times, which can extend timelines beyond our control.
We appreciate your patience and promise it will always be worth the wait. We strongly recommend placing your orders well in advance during the seasons below.
